If you’re looking for an amazing sandwich, or a beautiful salad and a soup to die for, you’ve got to go to The Daily Dose. Operating since 2007 in what was an old ice cream shop, Daily Dose is the work of love of Jen Capponi. Fed up with the corporate grind, Jen decided to follow her heart and serve good food to the community. And oh boy…does she serve good food. Creatively conceived and expertly made sandwiches, including paninis for lunch or breakfast – and you must…and I mean mus…try the both Awesome Beef and the Capponi Special paninis – plus, daily soup specials, and coffee or tea creations, make the Dose a stand out. They don’t stop with using quality ingredients and insisting on making sure everything tastes amazing …oh no… the cooks at Daily Dose take the time to ensure the presentation matches the quality of the food. On top of all that, you’ll find a friendly staff that actually enjoys providing good service. Most likely because they all love Jen, and will do anything for her.
Yes, it’s a tiny place, and yes, you might just decide to order your food to go – which is a viable option – but I highly recommend doing what you can to stay just to see how they plate your food, and how well they will take care of you.
This, is not your average sandwich shop. And did I mention the coffee?
In this episode, I sit down with Jen Capponi, the owner of this fine establishment.
