Snow emergency declared for Kenosha

A snow emergency is in effect for Kenosha County. The US Weather Service is reporting widespread moderate to moderate to heavy snow continuing across the region this morning. Freezing rain and snow ids expected today near Illinois the border. The heaviest snow is  expected to fall through sunrise.

Additional snow is expected later today into this afternoon. Increasing wins late this afternoon and evening will result in blowing and drifting snow.

Winter weather advisories mean that snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibility.
